the pixel figure shown in different poses is also great, especially the 'jump'

and you receive decent comments. if nobody was caring about your stuff, nobody
would have posted any comments...

I think the blur-motion pic is really nifty :ok:

It's got a "strangeness" to it that makes it somehow compelling.

No...its meant to be BLANK as i havent added anything thats why we call them and get this backgrounds they genreally are blank so they dont attract attention away from the foreground such as the Cuts and text!

I personally think the font sucks behind... btw this was based on graffiti and theres a few blended resource pics in there but there not very clear as i intended =D

Also, i may blend a cut over top and redo the text tommorow.. its 1:35 am.. :whistle:

1A) Borders.... cant do them with my piece of software.. unless theres an adobe plug-in that i can download that does it and even then only some plug-ins are compatiable.

1B)Font.. once again theres not really much in the way of effects for text with the current program im using.. but i agree the font sucks =D

Seeing as i didnt actually save the image in the correct format and only exported in Jpeg,PNG im screwed.

Looks like ill be doing something from scratch :D

That didnt even occur to me... i use to have a function that i could use both on the text and whatever layer i had selected to do outlines but then i switched programs and didnt find anything similar with Corel :(

30 day limit - there are some tools that allow you to extend it on the net somewere or so i hear but you're kindly invited to respect the time limit the producers set. If you like the program, buy it.

What you describe is neither, merely images based on games.

If you do indeed like it then tell me what is ''missing'' when it comes to you and I will add it :)

I think that the image is perfect, but we have to change the inscription and these are my suggestions:

- change the font, maybe using even two different fonts for "Quinto" and "potere"

- merge a bit the inscription with the background

- put "Quinto" and "potere" separated, one in the right and the other in the left of the human figure

- use a "powerful" font or one gothic or something like that...

Try to use one or more of these modification and finally you must put something like "by Magic" in a corner, ok?

Godsmack are a fairly terrible metal band - their album was called 2000 Years of human Error and I think they're on Marilyn Manson's label.

Avril Lavigne, on the other hand, is an ENTIRELY terrible artist fully deserving of a GoodSmack (see what i did there?).

Your Leprosy series of sigs are just cool :ok:

Nice use of contrast, the color is nice, and the overall impression, excellent :)

I think the one with the text "Leprosy Virus" is best, and nice font, btw (that's the Buffy font, isn't it? ... what's it called again? :huh:)

As for the work in progress, it's not quite catching the eye yet, the details are still a little murkified, blending a bit too much into the background. Blending is good, but I think too much just loses the "flavor."

Nope.. there just googled images of WWII.. the guy on the right was cut from a photo of a platoon... the left was from a War Movie archive. I cut him from a group of people in a bar or something.

Hmm... personally, I think it went from murky to murkier...

Don't get me wrong, as a background, I really love that brown mottled effect you've come up with, it's awesome :ok:

but now, it just looks like a background... did you plan on blending in a cutout for a point of interest? :huh:

Of course, you could have planned it that way, in which case, I'm just putting my foot in my mouth... but as I said, I do really like the smoky/grungy background :)

I want to show people how a map develops over time. It should be interesting, perhaps even a little magic. :bleh:

Note: The key features of this map will be the non rectangular shapes, I have been expermenting in the 2D Shape editor.

Help Request: I will be needing custom 2D Textures and possible some 3D Models if I can not do them myself. Anybody that can help out, let me know.

Al-Quadim is a game you can play from abandonia, I think. Unless its ESA protected, of course.

Aladin has stuff from (Persia?) and you could always play the Prince of Persia games, look at some of the outside background in the beginning of the second one :ok:

Personally, I prefer the darker outline, it's more "frame-y" and not so eye-jarring as the bright-bright green :)

The Eye was the picture I was sent and asked to make a sig from.. I didnt make it myself.. just so people know.

EDIT: Tai, if you want I can PM you the .PSD in a zip so you can see the layer compostion.

EDIT:2 I say that because the background is ... different.. its mainly just a simple brush work with some blended resource pics. It is very simple. That top left section was already there.. its the eyelid. I used colour brushes over the pics (different colours).. faded stuff in.. etc etc.

The park is usually a brillant green... I've never seen it so dry before.. although my last visit was about a year or two ago despite the fact the park is only 15-30 minutes away.

As for the squirrel.. who said that it wasn't evil?

Nevertheless, it shows that you are improving. You have been playing with shading and highlighting, and also with details around the eyes.

All in all the pixel is fun to look at and a good way towards improvement.

Not really, no.

There are too many things out there (including people) who are just painted blue and topped off with a white hat. None of them has looked any good. The Smurfs aren't exactly the most aesthetic looking animations, but they are the best looking blue things. (After blueberries, of course).

Void, you got here before I updated it... the text was just put there for no reason.. no thought went into it =P

The background is a mixture of brushing and googled pictures of car crashes, the main picture was something that came up when I entered Maniac in googles image search. There is no real theme to the image, I was expermenting with the transparency tools to make an.. abstract background.

I absolutely adore the new siggie, and it's somehow even more cool by being black and white... I would only suggest a little contrast tweaking, perhaps, to make it pop more, but that's just me.

As for the pixel, I really think it's great, the style is niftacular... maybe a little more detailing on the pants would be good, they're slightly flat, I think :huh:

But overall, excellent :ok:

How did you make that guy? I remember trying something similar using Photoshop pencil on a layer over Kosta's world-famous bathroom pic....should have it around here.

Aaah...here it is.

I opened the original picture after obtaining permission from the guy in question created a new layer... took the black brush and brushed the outline of his t-shirt. I then did a new layer... for his head,neck,hair,trousers. After completing the outlines for theese I duplicated all of them naming the new ones Head(Colour) etc and then used a paint fill. I removed the main picture and added a plain white background. Simple technique that many people use for making Guns in flash animations.

EDIT: Kosta picture is great.. well done :ok:
