Singleplayer is "somewhat" enjoyable, finally, with 1.113, yet...
But I must decline for I am no player of the "arena" kind of game (unless it's The Elder Scrolls ^^).

well said "somewhat", cause I can't get any kills when i'm on my horse >.>if I'll use a javelin, could i get one in one go?

On a horse with a giant Two Handed Sword = epic win.

i just tried getting and running this game, played custom battle, 30 men vs 30 men
at one point, all of my guys died, and 16 of the enemies left (some on horse some on foot). i was alone on my horse with a bow and a short sword. and i killed them all. i seriously don't get why did some guys say that this game is difficult=P

Single player, storming a castle or town with 100+ huscarls, where's the challenge? :p
Played it for a while but personally, in a game like this, I'd like more than just battle after battle.

well, i don't know how about this sequel, but my friends played the first mount and blade and when you play the real campaign (not just custom battle) it's much more than just battle after a battle. you get quests, seek lords, trade things, gain reputation, etc, etc

Well, russ is right about all that but in the end, it's just so that you can build bigger armys for bigger battles. In my eyes, everything comes down to the battle bit.
And Himmler: I'm afraid I kicked the potential FiL out of his house so he's not likely to allow me anywhere near his daughters.

Yes, sure.
Quests = ocassionally do something cool for your king like meet a spy or track a traitor down (5%) OR deliver a message to a lord (45%) OR get them to pay their loan to another lord (45%) OR stop 2 kingdoms from fighting eachother (5%).
Reputation = you kill hundreds of soldiers YOURSELF and you don't get much reputation because you had a (useless) army backing you up.
Trade things = boooooring and you rarely get to find decent equipment IMHO. Last time I played the entire game with a great two hander and full (battered) plate armor [cause it was a million times cheaper and barely any weaker).
Finding lords = NIGHTMARE.
Marching to war against another kingdom with your kingdom's army = NIGHTMARE ON SQUARE BECAUSE THE AI IS DUMB.
That's just how I felt....

The game definitely loses it's appeal after a while, but that said, it has the single best combat system I've ever played. I'd love to see an epic role playing game using this system...can you imagine how fun Oblivion would be if the combat were like that? Parrying with a sword is so awesome, and you can even do a parry/riposte type thing by actually attacking in the direction of the enemy's weapon while he's striking. If you time it right you knock his weapon away and hit him.
And then of course, it's practically the only game out there that actually has decent mounted combat. Oblivion mega failed in that department...you have to get off the horse to fight :(
In this game you can charge with deadly effect and people can strike the horse out from under you, and pikes actually work beautifully against a charging knight.
