View Full Version : What Is Game Engine?
Excuse me, but can you tell me what "game engine" means in common words?
An Engine (A programmed Program in a way (described roughly),
with which a certain game is made and which is the center of it /-
As an example The Infinity Engine,
with which the Baldurīs Gate series & few other similiar games from Black Isle (Icewind Dales) were made /-
/Or The Source engine of Half Life 2/
Iīm sure someone will give you a deeper explanation,
in around six hours /-

A game engine is the core of a game. It crunches all input, processes it and gives output. It makes sure that all processes go well.

Uhm, Quatro, this place's meant for learning. Hence asking for stuff you don't know 'bout is allowed, whether or not somebody'd assume it as general knowledge.
