I know this game is not available on this site, but i really have a problem with this game.I tried wizard of the coast's site, but i can't register for some reason, so i can't log in to chat   .
This game has MANY fans and is quite old(but not abandonware) so i figured to ask you, abandonians.
Problem:I enter the world of Shandalar. After a while, a random monster approaches me.It threatens me or something like that, and i have two options: to attack or to give him what he requested(gold). If i choose to duel with him then the screen goes black. That's how it stays.I can alt-tab through applications, but the game screen remains the same.I can move the mouse in the black screen but there is nothing to click.I have to use alt-F4 to close the application. Please help me anyone

Well, I never played this game, but from looking at this error I encountered it on other games sometimes, and I guess your game-files are damaged, so try to install the game again.

This MIGHT be, but then again if that is the graphic-card problem, the game could not even run up to this point... From now on I'm afraid I have no suggestions anymore (if I had the game and could "taste that error", then...)... Perhaps someone else knows to help...

since you installed the game so many times, and the problem persists, have you thought that the files on the install CD might be corrupted? Try to install the game on a friend's computer and see if the problem appears to his computer too. That way you will learn at least if it is your computer's fault or it is a problem of the game itself.

I had a 4 meg card and tried to play Phantom Menance and I could play all the point and click bits, but when it came to a video sequence, fade to black. When I installed an 8 meg card, everything worked fine.

Actually this game is abandoneware. I'll be uploading it to the site once things have been sorted out and work again.

Yep I'm very sure of it. The Underdogs also have the game. Although that one is inexplicably smaller then the version I have.

Having the same problem here Omeletzu. Very annoying... various readme's tell us that it should be in 16-bit mode, but my graphics are in 16-bit mode, so that seems to be of no help.

lycka till
