Forgive me for being a complete useless old dude who's go minimal tech knowledge, but are the files on 4shared the complete game and how do I install?

Either file is CD image, so you need some utility that will emulate disc drive so when you attach CD image, it acts as if actual CD has been inserted. Try Daemon tools for example

Try Daemon tools for example
There's no need for Daemon Tools, you'll need DOSBox anyway to play the game and DOSBox can mount ISO & CloneCD formats with imgmount.

Cheers for the responses, really appreciate it. But after downloading, extracting and learning what .rar files are, I'm officially out of my depth. I'll go buy it off ebay :D

Well, if you do that, please offer as some scanned boxshots, CD, manual or whatever you may find :)

Here's a regular, zipped ISO image of "A Final Unity"....

>Zipped (ISO image only) of "A Final Unity"< (http://haymanquarterly.com/downloads/sttng_iso.zip)

And for those who have trouble figuring out how to get dosbox to work, here's a nice little, easy download and setup (including the ISO image) for you, too. Instructions in the README file. :)

>Star Trek: TNG "A Final Unity" (incl. ISO image) with customized DOSBox and easy README instructions for setup.< (http://haymanquarterly.com/downloads/STTNG.zip)
