Never _EVER_ play that chapter with the kids in town and the plants after midnight with sound on during a winter night while you're all alone in a house... EVER :ok:

This game was great I love the twisted story.It came on 3cd(with movies), so even if it is ABW I doubt that it's available(I've seen many people on the net searching for this game , it's very hard to find it, thankfully one of my friends has it)

Abandonware by the standards of HotU,
also sought in net for a store with it,
in vain...

Here (http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=939)

Note;
MISSING ALL SCUTSCENES

decreases the mood & plot & gameplay a lot /-

I have the copy from HoTu, that Wael mentioned. Not only does the lack of cutscenes take away from the ambience, but the game doesn't run well on XP (that or it's just their copy).

I can play for a short while, but graphics errors always occur, such as scenes coming up in "negative" colors, or whatever. I need to just get an actual copy so I can enjoy the entire game.

Oh, and the children can be pretty creepy...I remember trying to take the sounds from the menu (the kid's voice) to incorporate into a (freeware) game of my own. "Nnnnew Game" *shudder*

I fully agree. My mum managed to buy this off ebay for ?12 last year, and it is a fantastic adventure game. I enjoy horror games\films, and being an avid adventure gamer, this was more or less perfect. I remember playing the demo (you play the first scene) which my mate bought round a few years ago, and I have always wanted the full version since then.

Putting a small archive(missing cutscenes, speech, and music) for a great game like this would disgrace it.

Is it scarier than the "Shalebridge Cradle" level in Thief 3?
