Data, educate him on the wonders of Dosbox..
WinXP is the crappiest windows OS because it has almost no support for Dos games so we use an emulator called dosbox. data is our resident expert. and newbie punisher

windows XP has no dos. Hence dosgames have difficulties running.

Some of us old dosgamers have created an application that mimics and old pc and it's possible to run the dosgames inside the application.
It's called dosbox. check my signature for details where to download it and how to install it.
