I got following problem:

Because ScummVm advises you to rip Monkey Island enhanced version from cd and

change audio to mp3 I did just like that.

But now music doesn´t play at some places (at the scumm bar e.g). Does anybody

know how to solve this? Maybe I gave wrong names to the MP3 files? I called them

track01, track02 and so on...

EDIT: OK. Solved this by myself. To whom it may concern: You have to rename the tracks to track1, track2 etc... Easy, huh? :wall: Well, I made the mistake to call them track01, track02 etc. So only higher tracks could work. Just a small difference in the name. But a huge effect on gameplay...

I just got a copy of this enhanced version. how do you rip the cd and how do you change the music to mp3?

I just copied the files for monkey island 1 and monkey island 2 on separated folders, then run them with dosbox... I got monkey island 2 with music and sound without any problem but for monkey island 1 I only get sounds not music...:dunno:

Any advice? I tried also summvm and it says exactly that you did, to rip the music and put it on mp3. sorry but I don't get the exact instructions. Could someone help me please writing a little more details about this procedure on how to rip, what to rip, where to put the music files, in order to get music on this classic?

Thanks:woot:

I don't know about the MP3's, but I'm just using .ogg cd-rips for MI1.

you need a tool to rip audio tracks

there's like gazillion of them, even windows media player (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0080.mspx) or winamp (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-rXFWzf-Rw) can do it

A gazillion (http://www.straightdope.com/columns/read/1636/how-much-is-a-gazillion), eh..?

Words ending in the sound "-illion", such as zillion,[2] jillion,[3] and gazillion,[4] are often used as fictitious names for an unspecified, large number by analogy to names of large numbers such as million, billion and trillion. Their size is dependent upon the context, but can typically be considered large enough to be unfathomable.

And a tip for audio ripping, you can also use lossless formats for the audio, FLAC (http://flac.sourceforge.net/) works pretty fine :) And scummVM supports it.

Thanks a lot friends,

Problems solved and I am enjoying this classic with remasterised music!
I had to download the music files from the internet and put them in order, but it was fun.;)
