I realize this is a pretty big request, but if anyone has PC versions of the first 6 wizardry games could they possibly upload them?

The Wizardry games, while not the greatest, are actually the first RPGs that I (and many others probably) ever played. I recall the countless hours I would spend mapping out the various dungeons, cursing when my party members died, etc. And if I recall correctly, you can import your characters throughout a good majority of the games. I am sure many of us would love to play from the first till the 7th

Thank you for your time.

Just wondering why these games are so difficult to track down. According to the copyright status page, the only Wizardry title still being sold is something called Nemesis... all the rest show up as abandonware.

I was able to locate the PC Booter disk images on Retrograde Station (LINK (http://retrograde.trustno1.org/sir-tech.htm)), but I was hoping to find the updated versions that came in the Ultimate Wizardry Archives, that can be run from a directory. (Ctrl-F4 to swap disks in DOSBox gets to be a pain.) Most abandonware sites I have checked for these games start with Wizardry 7 / Wizardry Gold, a couple have 6. Doesn't seem to be much interest in them at all, which surprises me.

Anyone have any additional info on these titles?

(On a somewhat related note, I have an original disk copy of Wizardry 6 "Bane of the Cosmic Forge" kicking around, that I am happy to share with this site -- I have sent a note via the contact form.)

Wizardry 4 is freeware, actually.

As for the others, they are all over abandonware sites. Just try the following site, and you'll see:

http://www.dafastlane.org/games.php

Just type in Wizardry and do a search.

Thanks for your reply... I had already done a number of searches. Turns out that even the places that list the games often display "Not Available" or something like that.

Not a problem, the booter images from Retrograde Station will work for me. I'm just kind of surprised that such a core piece of computer RPG history isn't more prevalent on abandonware sites.

Well anyway, I'm having fun with them. :)

I know you have Wizardry VII. How about also adding the first 6. They are considered abandonware in oldwarez list.

It appears nobody is working on reviewing them right now. Feel free to apply for that.
