Great, golf games is one of my niches! I'm a meditative player and Death Incarnate just said it right: this is golf - so relax and take it easy! Fortunately there sometimes are people who care enough for these games to review them, because I will probably never get around to doing one.

The graphics of Links 368 Pro is perfect. That's a prime example for doing it non-pixel.

Is Banff Springs from Links 368 CD? At MobyGames, I read that the Kixx release contains The Belfry instead of Banff Springs. Perhaps Ermuli has it (or the other one).

There were a lot of other courses included with Death's files. Unfortunately some of the zip-files were broken. I've already asked him to check and reupload those if possible. Hopefully there will be some more courses available soon.

Are they the original floppies?! Could you make floppy images of them? And what kind of CD?

I'm a big fan of Links games, 2003 editon is my favorite.
This one is a nice oldie. :)

What a fantastic game. The graphics are great, the sound effects work well, and I'm even learning a few things about a "sport" I don't care much for. I can see myself getting addicted to this one.

So, what about Pinehurst? Does anybody have it and would care to contribute?

By the way, there seem to exist some more courses I didn't know of (Wikipedia lists them http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Links_%28computer_game%29):

Prairie Dunes
Cog Hill
Riviera
Pelican Hill
Valderrama
Oakland Hills
Valhalla
Confgressional Country Club

Does anybody have them?

I don't know if this is the right place for it, but: I can't add Links 386 Pro to my favorites. Well, I can add it and even remove it, but it just won't show on my favorites site :( With every other game it works.

Does anybody know who could help?

I finally managed to find the Pinehurst course. I put it on FTP, so let's hope someone updates the site, soon. The other above mentioned courses are still missing.

It should be put together with the other additional courses, right?

I guess it would be nice if all courses where in one single package, or if every course could be downloaded seperately. I put both variants on the FTP, in the folder Extras.

I'd say that with this, Abandonia is the only site featuring a full collection of official Links 386 Pro courses (according to MobyGames: http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/links-series/offset,0/so,1d/), including even Torrey Pines from the original Links.

Will do as soon as the edit extras node bug is solved.

For now I have uploaded the course separately, since the bug will take more time than expected to be fixed.

I found another course, the Riviera Country Club! It's up on FTP and waiting to be put on site.

Now we still have these courses missing:
Praerie Dunes (can be found on the 5-Course Library Vol. 1)
Cog Hill (can be found on the 5-Course Library Vol. 2)
Pelican Hill (can be found on the 5-Course Library Vol. 2)
Oakland Hills (can be found on the 5-Course Library Vol. 4)
Valderrama
Valhalla
Congressional

Maybe there are even more, it's kind of complicated with the courses since not all of them have been released seperately for Links or Links 386, but for Links LS (and seem to work with Links 386, too) or on various compilations.

Some of these seem to be available at Underground Gamer, so if anyone has an account there, maybe he can get them. I'll keep looking myself, but these are really hard to find.

This is a compilation of all 25 courses avariable for Links 386 that were released consecutively as standalone addons on diskettes or CDs by Access. They're only the CRH file of the courses, no splash screens, no flybys and no recorded players (just because I don't have them http://www.underground-gamer.com/pic/smilies/wink.png )

To install them just copy files into your Links 386 folder

List of courses

Banff Springs
Barton Creek
Bay Hill Club
Bighorn Golf Club
Bountiful Golf Club
Castle Pines Golf Club
Cog Hill - Dubsdread
Congressional C.C.
Devils Island
Dorado Beach - East Course
Firestone Country Club - South Course
Harbour Town
Innisbrook - Copperhead
Mauna Kea
Oakland Hills Country Club
Pebble Beach Golf Links
Pelican Hill Golf Club
Pinehurst Country Club - No2
Prairie Dunes C.C.
Riviera Country Club
The Belfry
Torrey Pines - South Course
Troon North
Valderrama Golf Club
Valhalla Golf Club Is that all or are some missing?

Is that all or are some missing?

These are all that I know of. Splash screens and recorded players would be nice, but the CRH is better than nothing, right?

The courses already up on Abandonia are mostly CRH only, too, except:
Castle Pines
Pebble Beach
Innisbrook
Mauna Kea
Pinehurst
Riviera

These are complete, with screens and players.

By now, I managed to find complete disks of the Banff Springs course, too, so I could add the extra files.

Maybe the extras of this game could use a complete makeover? I could upload all courses as seperate downloads or one big archive, containing all the courses. Or we include them all in the game archive...

If we could get these missing courses, Abandonia would be the no. 1 abandonware site for Links 386 Pro enthusiasts :D

hi guys I am having an issue with links 386 no matter what I do the ball only goes 40 yards every single time has anyone else had this issue? I tried the download from here and I have a links 386 cd version...this is my grandpa's game and I am trying to get it working for him all other features of the game work but on both pro and cd the swing meter seems to pick up a phantom click which prevents more powerful swings

Hi Everyone.
I have all 25 original (not converted from the earlier version) release Add-on courses for Links386 as floppy's and CD-ROM.
Let me know if anyone is still tracking down these courses.
This was/is a great game. Admittedly I have moved on to Links LS. Never got the Links 2001 or Links 2003 bug, but still did collect all those courses as well. In fact I have every course for every version for Links, so let me know what you're after. I'd love to see a revival of this game.

I'd sure love to see them on abandonia. You can offer to upload them to the FTP-server in the Offers forum.

Back in the day of raw PvP online sports games , Links 386 pro / Links 97 and Links LS98 , provided cutting edge ability to match up guys from the USA against Aussies or others in real time competition . I did ok in most competitions .

The Big thing was Case's ladder , but a few gamer controlled competitions also provided lots of great ways to prove your Links worth .

DI incredibly hard track , Innisbrook and Pelican always troubled me , there was an unofficial Augusta course release , also very difficult .

Cheers chump
