I am a bit confused about the ranking system.. I mean I am a newbee SPAMMER??? I dont spam what do I do to change it.. do I have to do a certain number of posts or something??

For me the ranks have been:

0 posts = n00b
1 - 20 (?) = newbie spammer
? - ? = forum hobbit
tha abandonia smurf
tha abandonia zuppah smurf

Of course, I'm special! 8)

I think your next rank will be abandonia nerd. After that you become a Tech Wizz (apparantly at 100 post). The next one is at 200. Then the last is at 500.

I didn't even know there was a post rank system. I thought the moderators or Kosta himself gave you a title after how you behaved on the site...

I thought you were some kind of lexikon on old games, since you were the abandonia nerd.
And I though LotharGR were a computer genius of some kind, as he was the tech wizz.

And so on...

I belived I was a newbie spammer because I just filled the forum with loads of mails.

I was therefore surprised when I suddenly became the forum hobbit!! I took it as a sign that I was accepted and that I had gained a title like you guys. (That was why I changed my avatar to Pippin, and made such a fuzz about being a hobbit).

It was only when I became aware of the ranking system, and asked what my next step was... that I became tha abandonia smurf. And a bit later I became tha abandonia ZUPPAH smurf....


I have not been told the reason for this ZUPPAH part, but I rather like it. :D

yes... but i got a headstart there because a fellow member was constantly pushing me to make more posts just to "see what happens when you hit 1000"
I remember the night I hit the 1000-posts mark
I was constanly saying I was tired and wanted to go to sleep, but that damn member just kept on encouraging me though msn,making new posts and constantly saying how i'm just a few posts away from a thousand posts.
When I finally did reach the 1000 post mark he made a thread calling me a spammer (eventhough he probably posted as much as I did that day, if not more)
Since then i'm known as the spammer.
Then I became the Spamming Moderator.
Then I resigned from being a moderator (I didn't have enough time and didn't feel it was correct to be known as a moderator while I wasn't there most of the time) so i became known as the spammer again... and the guy who encouraged me became an administrator... and he is never around :x

Anyway I am in no mood to be in such a situation again... not to mention the Post Wars.
at one point 5 of the biggest members (me and some others) were nearing the 2000 mark and I was dragged into a Posting War.
Since I really didn't like post wars i decided to post so much that others would not easily catch me up again (so there would not be another Post War... not one I'm in anyway)
And thus I reached 3000 posts... then 4000... and then I slowed down and eventually reached 5000... slowed down some more and reached 6000 and now i'm crawling over 7000 posts-mark with a few posts a day.

To say the truth, I do not care what my post count is. I mean... If you feel you have something to say or something to give to a forum, then you do it. If you have nothing to contribute, then it is better to leave it.

I always post something that I feel is somehow important. Like proclaiming that I am on a gamehunt, or answer and ask questions, or that I have found a game and telling you where...

anyway most postwars were debates
so I always had to reply in order to protect my own views.
Its hard NOT to counter a post when the other person is challenging your very beliefs.

And since I only posted for half an hour or so, and i quit being a moderator because I couldn't even stay online half an hour anymore, and you are the one spending your time hunting down old games just for fun... I think the sentance "get a life" applies to you much more than it does to me.

No, seriously, I run many programs on my PC at any given time. So my computer is always on. Playing music for instance....

The machine manages all these things by itself, and I do other stuff in the meantime. I just have my explorer on this site, and whenever something happens on this site my computer goes "BING"! So I look what is going on and answer if I feel it is appropriate.

I only look for games when I have some sparetime. Remember that I study medicine. That takes up a lot of time! :wink:

I think post wars and spamming is pretty useless. It doesn't help the forums at all. One way of preventing it I have seen on other boards is to keep the post count inside the users profile and not on the forums, this way they don't keep on looking at the post count and try and make it to the next level.

There are at least two flaws in the story.

1. You do not die instantly from a heart-attack.
2. In the old days, when the guilotine was used, women was not allowed in the church.

Now, my try: he is a farmer, but a farmer cannot be excuted at guilotine, at the time that was usual (17th century i think, :roll: ) they excuted the noble ones and/or the rich ones, but a simple farmer is not a person to be excuted at guilotine as no one cared about him.

First flaw:Spelling.
Second flaw:Why would peasants go to church after a hard day of work :?: Keep in mind that peasants are verry religious.They only go to church when it's sunday or when there is a holiday.They certantly won't go to church after a hard day of work and they certantly won't go to church wearing rags.
Third flaw:Peasants will never fall asleep in the curch.It's not related to sound, it's just that when they're in the church they're like :shock: (eyes wide open, and watchful).
Forth flaw:General negative energies cannot affect church attendants(lol sounds like a definition).I'll explain-nightmare is something bad so you can't experience malicious or negative feelings in a church.
Fifth flaw:You don't wake somebody up by poking him in the neck.
Sixth flaw:I may be wrong here, but I think that only certain social classes were executed using gilutine.I mean like thiefs, rebel leaders, but never peasants.To make an example of them i believe.
Seventh flaw:This is a long shot but here it goes: A finger leaves a circular tiny mark, whilst a gilutine blade leaves a straight line mark.
Eight flaw:How can you have a nightmare after doing regular field work?? What the peasant was a gravedigger or what :P

That makes no sense. Nowhere above does it say that anyone "knew" what he dreamt, only that he dreamt it (in narrator style). Also, of course people will look for an answer into a question and analyse it if someone asked them to.
