There's a game I used to play, I haven't gone there recently though, so I don't know if they've added any significant patches.
It's called Starquest Online, and has features that people hoped that Startrek online would have had.
For one thing, ships are operated manually, and completely by player crews.
Ships are multi-decked, fully walkable, infact, when you are on damage control, you need to know the ship's interior layout very well so you can respond quickly when players on the bridge tell you a system is damaged.
You can teliport down to all planets to either explore, search for life, collect samples for use in creating stat modifiers or misc use.
Eh, I could go on all day about its features, It's still a bit buggy and incomplete, but it's worth a look for sure, especially with a 30 day trial.
