Downloaded this yesterday as part of steams free for 24 hours promo and although it was fun for a bit I don't really think I will buy it as there was not much variation in the single player and although the multiplayer was interesting it also seemed the same after a while.

Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

I've never played the single player... but all I can say is that whenever us friends get together to play multi we have one helluva time. It's quite fun strategizing with friends and covering eachother and so on..

I love co-oping with a friend of mine in Left 4 Dead. We always have a great time in more than one way. Not only is it exciting, sometimes even makes you kind of scared/stressed (e.g. when having a tank right behind you, hearing a hunter is nearby, or when a witch crying somewhere), but it's also downright hilarious at times. Some of the moments have cracked me up like a fucking idiot.

Haven't played that many games that have pulled me into this... this smörgåsbord (hah! Swedish!) of emotions.

That sounded so gay. But oh well.

its fun if you get in a multiplayer game with random, funny people that scream and what not :p specially if they have mics

its also fun to make fun of 12 year olds

:D

Making fun of 12 year olds IS funny.

I love when I play CS:S and these dudes with girly voices starts talking. I always write like ''LMFAO HIS VOICE'' in the chat. Unfortunately, all of them seem to be clever enough to ignore me. :/

Ah... The joy of not being that age anymore.

I didn't think it was that great either, but I played it for 360. PC version might be more fun.

I played it a couple of times on a 360 with some friends, and it was furiously fun. Since then, I am craving to play it on my pc, but it can run it properly. It's a game that can only be enjoyed playing it with people you know and that like to play cooperatively.

And yes, I think the PC version is more fun: I hate to aim with a goddamn joystick.

I never did understand what's the fuss about this game. To me it seems like it's UT's invasion turned into a whole game. And they call that innovation. :/

It's not that I think that it is something innovative and revolutionary, just that it's fun. At least with people who does not suffer from the "lol n00b pwned" syndrome. And it's really cooperative: if you try to rush for the kill count, you will make everybody lose. A lot of so called "cooperative" games are cooperative only on the "I will not kill you" sense. But here you have to cooperate or you will die.

But, on the other hand, I only played it a couple of times with friends.

The game is REALY FUN if you play with friends...I'ts HELLA ANNOYNG if you play with random people, usually 10-12 year olds who start screaming in mic...Its really disturbing but they'll shut up if I scream: SHUT THE F**K UP HELIUM!!! after hearing this puny little voice for 20 minutes

Single player is SUPERBOOOORING, not boring for those who find it fun shooting zombies alone, the pc will just run after you and shoot them randomly but no strategy can be used

Luv the ability to hit with shotgun...its so amusing
