Secret of monkey Island question

is the first Monkey Island game supposed to have voice speech, or is it just subtitles? I'm playing the game again after years and I've forgotten, so I want to make sure it's working properly.

IIRC the very first Monkey Island I didn't even supported soundblaster, only AdLib and PC Speaker? How I loved pc speaker music...

Does anyone knows where I could find the old pc speaker music in mp3 or something? Suddenly I want to listen to that :wacko:. I have a couple of MP3 of PC Speaker music recorded from DOSBox...
