Hi Guys !!!

I will continue the game Dreamweb at a new engine...

I will call the game simply Dreamweb 2 (Oder hast du eine Bessere Idee)
the Game has new story and scenes will contain which one not from the original Game knows. The story is nearly finished, now is I there by the process of the Games to Graphics to ripp...

deine idee klingt interessant. ich habe dreamweb 1 zwar nicht gespielt, aber
viel gutes darüber gehört.

mich würde interessieren, wie du das spiel erstellst. du hast geschrieben, daß
du die dreamweb-engine für den zweiten teil benutzt... und die grafiken?
hast du sie selbst gemacht? wie sieht es mit sound aus?

erzähl doch mal....

Boah endlich einer der Deutsch Sprechen kann...

Also eigentlich wollt ich schreiben das ich eine neue Engine Benutze, werde das mit dem RPG Maker machen, viele die ein RPG Maker Spiel schonmal Gespielt haben werden jetzt denken ach du Schei***... aber ich werde Versuchen alles aus dem Maker rauszuholen, zzt, ist der Technische Standart beim RPG maker schon so hoch das er MP3 Daten lesen kann, das man alle Tasten der Tastatur benutzen kann und man kann sogar seit neustem die Maus benutzen, diese Features werde ich alle ausnutzen damit das Spiel einfach eine Einzigartige Stimmung bekommt...

Die Grafiken habe ich natürlich Gerippt, aber ich werde natürlich auch Sachen selber zeichnen, ich werde neue Räume schaffen die man noch nie gesehen hat, das heißt ich habe als Grundlage alte Grafiken Gerippt und werde daraus neue Machen oder Editieren...

Ja mit den Sounds sieht es so aus, in dem Spiel gibt es sehr viel Sprache, diese werde ich aber nicht in Dreamweb 2 hinzufügen, da das Spiel dann viel Platz auf der Platte verbrauchen würde und ich hasse Games die zu Viel Platz verbrauchen... Aber Hintergrund Musik werde ich Rippen und neu Aufspielen, ich hab hier mal ein Beispiel geladen...

LOL... No matter, if I should find a Texter, it it would have to be however conscious then very many texts gives which it translating would have... Do you mean give it there which those then the free make???

Ich glaube ich werde die Texte doch alle selber Übersetzen, dabei werde ich dann Programme benutzen die das dann machen... Hoffentlich können die gut Übersetzen... ;)

if i may translate 7ero code's intentions:

yes, he's planning to do dreamweb 2 using the rpg maker. he knows many ppl who
have a bad opinion about rpg maker, but he plans to make best usage of all important
features, like mouse input, keybord input, mp3 import and so on.

he has ripped some of the graphics from the original game and wants to redraw them.
he's going to have some music basically redone from the original (he also provided
a link, which is not working, though)...

but there will be no digitized speech for that would make the game too big and he
hates games that consume too much harddisk space...

Hey, I have no qualms about RPG Maker. In case you've not noticed, my signature links to my own page, a RPG Maker XP site! ^_^

Anyways, if he's using RPG Maker for doing this, I would suggest using RPG Maker XP as the game is so much more customizable than RPG Maker 2000.

What platform are you making the game for? Will it be open source? Will it even be free? It'd be nice if it came for several platforms and was translated into several languages (I could translate it to Polish, but only if it cames out for Linux, otherwise I won't bother; or if it goes commercial, we can talk... :sneaky:).

It's highly annoying that most games today are Windows only. It's the only reason I keep my XP partition around.

Well, I've never had Windows and I'm not planning to install it. I'm not going to pay for something I don't need, nor am I going to steal it.

Win XP Pro came with my DELL laptop and at the time I hadn't tried Linux yet (One year ago). Some annoying bugs in Windows made me want to try Linux out and today I'm an enlightened Gentoo (http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/shots.xml) user. :max:

I copped Dreamweb back in the days, never finished it though. This new project (just read of it for the first time) sounded funny, I would've give it a try. Too sad it seems that this one is over before it began.
