View Full Version : Forum Style.
Actually this was a test, had that idea since time and I've just found the option
But I'm sure there are many things to fix if we want this style back.
Also it seems that this solution has solved hundred bugs!

Why not keep it this way? It's a great new layout I think.
ahah, glad to hear enthusiasm :p, but we haven't decided yet.
Switching to the old one will let people save avatars ;)
OK, we can do it step by step. Make a screen of this layout, switch back so people can save their avatars and then make a poll so members can decide which one they prefer.
EDIT: BTW, I like this one better. Brings back memories. Sigh.

I don't understand what you guys mean by "saving your avatar".
If people made custom avatars then they should have them stached somewhere on their PC... I have dozains of them myself.
Edit: Direct linking to the image on the next post here (http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/2069/layoutyj7.png).
I prefer this too and I'm sure not only me ;)

By that we mean avatars we all had before Dave did this test. They are mostly gone now. Some people (if not lots of them) don't have their avatar on their computer. I deleted mine as well. :D
Not sure what you mean with saving avatars. The ones that were shown formerly here at the forums are still over at the site. What am I missing?
EDIT: For example, from http://www.abandonia.com/user/1547

PS: If you switch back I'll kill you slowly :p

As Japofran said.
The "old" avatars are not "gone"... They are simply not "fetch" on the main site anymore.
If you click on my name and look at my picture, you'll see my "old" avatar.
Aaah yes, of course. You're right Japo.
We have to decide yet, I've saved Luchsen's avatar. :perv:
Edit: OH CRAP, CLICK ON THE NAME
I've merged site and forum profile
Too many bug solved in a click, I won't switch back.
Waiting admins to say what they think.
If you want your avatar back just open site profile.

I LOVE the new Layout!
btw. Can you make sure the "location" is fetched from the forum profile and won't be overridden by the site profile location?
(just asking)

This kicks much butt. Good job.
Please put the Bar back to under the Names like before.

I must admit I also like it better under the names. It looks more polished.

I talked with Fifth about it.
This is what he said.
When we're done sorting out the forum template, I'll try adding it as a variant.
So there is Hope.

Don't know if this is the right topic to ask this, but I'll ask anyway...
