View Full Version : Forum Colors
We are currently trying out a new color scheme for the forum.
Thank you David and 5th for your assistance!
Do you guys like or have some suggestions on what should be changed ?
I can't promise whether I will implement the suggestions as there are some limitation on what I can change.
Our present for you! Merry XMas guys http://www.reloaded.org/forum/style_emoticons/default/santa.gif

:OK: Starting to look less like a trip to the dentist's office. :3: Is it possible to add a drop-down box to the top of the site, that'll select a css style-sheet file as your preferred colourway? Cos then we could offer the same thing as what google's just set up in gmail. It could even set a particular section of the css header as your preference -- you can set different classes of tags, eg H3.first { color: blue } and H3.second { color: red } -- so can you select all the 'second' classes, of bgcolor, font styles, table bar colours, etc, which would go together, and set them as visible in your preferences? Because that would be awesome...

It might be possible, yes.

It makes me want to make a cup of coffee.
Nice and warm, and kinder to the eyes than white. :amused:
I agree with Luchsen, seems a bit too dark to me. But it's a good start, well done. Is it possible to change the white background? It's also too white, specially now in contrast. I don't mean the one in the top site frame, but the one inside the forum one.
In the old golden era style, the background deep down that's now white was brown, but it was lighter than the brown in the posts now, it was #DAD5A7 to be precise. And the posts were light gray, with frames of somewhat darker shades of gray, besides the crimson buttons. You can check it at the Internet Archive, although I'm sure may already knew:

New color is nice.
Yes Japo, we can change background, but here we have that white Drupal bar on the top and unfortunately we can modify only the forum, not the site.
We did some tests with grey as background to have less contrast between that white bar, it was nice but a bit strange...if you have other suggestions don't worry to tell us. :)

Me :OK: And I think that, if this was going to be a competition, we are given an HTML page, say, something similar to the 'Reply to Topic' page that has every CSS element visible.

Either that or just customizable color schemes for everyone :) Anyway, I like the new colors, away with the white!

It might be possible, yes.
The powerful thing about CSS is that you can create one stylesheet file and use it for multiple html pages, by writing a single line of code into each page header. Or multiple files that in theory you can switch between within some kind of use-case. This is why I love it so much... Also, we should be able to enter a field that sets the class of all our parameters to the colours of our choice, possibly with php or javascript. It's been years since I played with this stuff, but it makes simple html look sad and/or stupid. ^_^

I just wanted to jump in here before someone dredged up a painfully unfunny "Sparta" joke. IT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN FUNNY.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming of glorious liver red and old cork brown :)

Could be worse, Lulu. They could be shouting Redwaaal! and Eulaliaaaa! at us. *cries* I thought I was the only ancient Greece nerd. THERE WERE NO RHINOS, DAMNIT!! Xerxes did have the sea flogged with whips when it destroyed his floating bridge, though. XD

I think this tag http://files.abandonia.com/extras/Usergroups/banned.gif doesn't match with the new-old forum layout.
See the tag working at http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showpost.php?p=346258&postcount=1645
