I want to request a game that might be german only.

Die Fugger II (http://www.mobygames.com/game/die-fugger-ii)

It's a great merchant-game playing in the late middle ages.
Made by Sunflowers. I thought of 1869 which is abandonware as well. :)

The oldwarez list tags it as unknown status... :sneaky:

It is German-only, as far as I know.

The only real entries on the web that i could find were a fan-page and the mobygames entry.
Sunflowers doesn't exist anymore they have been swallowed by ubi-soft.
But ubi-soft provides no references at all to "Die Fugger 2" :(

I miss this great game... T_T

Hm, well, I have an image of the game somewhere on my external harddrive I believe. Will have a look. I'm quite sure that you need some knowledge of german language in order to play the game. So it wouldn't be something for the site itself but maybee for tghe iso-cellar!?

Thus for MY cellar...? :sneaky: :D

As for the german language:
You can't even look if there are language packs since there is no information about that game around... :(

You could edit texts with an HEX editor and create an English version, that would be awesome...and difficult of course.

Any results on the game status, though?

Sorry lads. :bump:

So it seems to be german only.

Shall we sort it as rejected now?
Since I doubt that anybody has enough time, fanciness and expertise on his hands to code an HEX editor for all this.

Plus the speech is german only.

A game not being in English wasn't much of a problem (http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/732/Yogho+Yogho.html) before (http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/981/Perestroika.html), if there was demand :)

(Oh, and completely unrelated: iirc LocIS became Nikita. For the profile page)

But those are games where the knowledge of the language isn't inevitable.

Maybe, but it's a not a very solid distinction.
Most games you can play without knowledge of the language. Heh, that's how I used to play long ago! :bleh: - of course a lot is added when you do know.

Personally, I'd say it's more important to stick to a decent rule (non-English games yes/no) then a guideline that's bound to end up in ambiguity. But that's just me :)

So why is this invalid now? :weird:

NON-English Game therefore [INVALID]

well if you find a english Version of it we will think again. :noworry:

The game must not be sold at the moment due to a German court decision. A descendant of the original Fugger family fears a defamation of his name due to the fact that you can also take part in illegal activities in the game.

seems to be a special case, please consider this before approval
