The first first-person adventure ever. Or maybe I'm not familiar enough with old games. Well, it was a lot of fun and lot of hard.

Anyone remembers it?

Bought the game a few years back, but never really had the time to play it more than for an hour or two. It is quite fun, though.

The merit of being the best first person adventure is probably correct, as there have been only a few good ones in the genre anyway.

I guess it is the first one.

Too bad it's still being sold. I would like to see it on abandonia. Patience, I guess.

Played it. Not all too fun after a while, especially not when you start cheating when you get as stuck as a kid between the bars of the stairs.

I played it too. A nice looking game, but with 2d NPC's. I couldn't complete it. Got stuck in the building with toys shop (if I remember correctly).

Wael you are so great. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have a clue what half of these people talk about. :ok:

But doesn't look too great in my opinion.

It is old. There wasn't no first-person game with whole 3D objects in the game. Not until Quake.

Still, it is the first first-person adventure, so I guess that programmers keep their mind on adventure part of the game.

Yah, Normality was from 1996. Then in '97 Gremlin improved upon the engine and released another game (albeit quite different and less cartoonish),
Realms of the Haunting.

Also a very good game.

It was 1st person 3d adventuregame. It was in wicked context. The player was a cool dude and the first mission he had to accomplish was get away from a aparment, he was inprisoned there I think. The demoversion was only that mission. I think I played it 'round 97-98 maybe? There was puke and muck in that flat and everything. Weird crashed future context.

Cheers, t-m

It's sold at E-CDRom (http://store.yahoo.com/e-cdrom/cd7112.html) for $3,50.

EDIT: It's well worth the price, by the way. I've also got the original, and spent some nice moments exloring the city. Good humour, and an interesting story. Toxik already has it, and the others should use this opportunity to grab it while it's still available.

I saw that the game Normality (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/normality) had been abandoned and I just havet to have it!!!

Does anybody know where I can find the game or could you maybe even upload it in abandonia?

The game is 410 MB, so it's too big for AB I'm afraid.

I have it... its a cool one =)

But have a little problem... runs TOOOOO FAST on average PCs and the programs to downgrade the CPU seems don't work correcly...
With an Athlon XP 1700+ (not overclocked) these programs were no enough... so if you have a better PC than mine you will be in trouble.
In my other PC its impossible to run. (Barton Mobile 2600+ Overclocked)

Tried running it on Virtual PC 2004? That consumes a LOT of raw power.

Hi!

I'm wondering if you could get the game "Normality" on the site...have fond memories from playing the game and the AWlist lists it as Abandonware...

So, any chance?
