Hey, people!
I've noticed today that our presumed-deceased competitor, HOTU, had its own link template on Wikipedia. Noticing we didn't have anything like it, I made one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Abandonia). :OK:

The use of it is explained in detail on the page. Thus, Abandonia can now be easily added as an external reference link for any game we've got an entry for on the site.

PS. Seems like someone has nominated the template for deletion. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Templates_for_deletion#Template:Abandoni a_and_Template:Hotu) :( along with the HOTU one :p

Please write this cunning ham that we have a still valid permission for Lost Vikings back from Vivendi's ESA days.

I hate pedantic fools who always think they're right :grr:

Anyway, Fifth is busy wiki-linking every game we have. When can we put more up on the site to keep him busy? ^_^

Seems someone went and speedy-deleted the template. Awk. <_<

Did you point out we have permission?

Didn't have time to. We only have permissions for a few of the games on the site, anyway.

On the bright side... the HOTU link-template went out the window as well. :whistling:

We should have an official anti-Wikipedia position. Then we can mention it on our Wikipedia article.

Abandonia is an abandonware website, focusing mainly on showcasing computer games, distributing games made for the MS-DOS system and hating Wikipedia.

If other websites would join in, we could create an anti-Wikipedia Wikipedia template.

Funny idea.

Technically the deletion did follow Wikipedia's policies.
I've checked the fine print in the one on external links, and it states that links to any sites that disseminate copyrighted contents (and unfortunately that's what we're doing for the most part) are to be removed on sight.

This, however, means the same thing for both Abandonia and HOTU (and a few other sites).
