Finally found a workaround for uploading emoticons to the server. :transient:

Meaning, we can officially add new ones. :venom:

No, the style is unnecessary, it's fine to have a round yellow one and then have a small realistic human head wearing a party hat. It's a forum, not the front page.

I just suggest we try to use unique emoticons, none of that stock crap people use regularly, it's not difficult to make these suckers and having unique emoticons is better than just a bunch of random ones from various sources.

Also it brings up the prospect that if something stupid happens here we can create an emoticon to remember it by.

Project Gutenberg has cute animated ones. There's a whole band playing, a smiley vacuuming, a smiley carving the venus de'Milo, then chopping off the arms and grinning... The sky's the limit...!

They're not really limited. The standard ones are 16x16, 20x20 is fine too, but there's nothing to prevent larger ones.

Hey, can we change the smiley XD from "X D" to ":X D:" (only without the space, of course)? There are a couple of reasons for this. First would be that it displays a smiley when you try typing words, for example DXDiag. The second is it screws my images when I use some of my links from Live Skydrive. There are probably other type of links affected.
