So, is there any possibility to upload a game called Gex to Abandonia? I'm pretty sure it's abandonware, 'cos I've seen it on some different abandonware-sites. I got the game myself, so I can upload the game here, with your permission (and instructions), of course.
Here's information (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gex)
Plot: Gex is a lazy, tv-watching gecko. He spends all his days watching tv and mocking B-movies and bad tv-programmes. But one evening Gex's archenemy Rez sucks Gex inside his tv. Player must now control Gex thru different movie themes collecting Remote Controls, Golden Flies and Special Power Balls. Each theme contains several levels, and after completing each level and collected each Remote Control, player gets to a boss battle. After defeating the boss, player gets to the next theme. Player finally must encounter the evil Rez in his lair and defeat him, so that Gex can get back to the real world. Game uses password-system to save the games. Some levels contain videocasettes. If player can collect a videocasette and finish the level, he/she'll get a password. And always when player defeats a boss, he/she'll get a password.
Well, that's about it :)

Mobygames shows Microsoft as the publisher (1996).
HOTU shows EIDOS as the publisher (1997).
Both have 15 year protection, anyway.

Gex (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gex) [PROTECTED]
MobyGames (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/gex) states release date for PC as Nov 07, 1996.
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gex_(video_game)) states release date for PC as 1997.
Which to use?
Protected by ESA until Nov 07, 2011 or 2013, and no buylinks found.

8 November, 2011 has past, thus ending Gex's ESA protection. Therefore, if someone can please confirm this game still meets Abandonia's Definition of Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showpost.php?p=340837&postcount=2), this game is approved!

Publisher (Microsoft) and developer (Crystal Dynamics) are ESA members but the game is not protected since 07.11.2011.
Unfortunately, still sold on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/SoftKey-GEX3844AE-Gex-Jewel-Case/dp/B00002SAMS/ref=sr_1_9?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1321221251&sr=1-9).
I think the game should remain 'rejected'.

Sold only on Amazon Marketplace (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0015RFKN4/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new).
I think we can label the game as 'approved.' Can anyone confirm that?

I created topic (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?p=459727) in ISO Cellar.
You may state future ISO offerings (if they are accepted) in this topic (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=12957). Yeah, it is big and purpose got changed, but yeah, that's the place :)

I was never very familiar with the Cellar rules, and now you're the mod, but I think that thread is only necessary when there isn't a thread for the game already? If a thread already exists, just post your new link over there--once you get approval from the Request Games boards (not the ISO Cellar Requests thread).

That's correct. Currently people do post new links in existing threads in Cellar, but they are limited if topic doesn't exist, like in this case. Now these "rules" or the way of doing things is not posted anywhere, not sure if it would be useful to actually post somewhere...
