i have looked up its availability and i have not found any stores online where it is still sold. the part im not sure on is wether eidos/ion storm are members of the esa and wether they would have any quibbles with it being available to download. i hope its possible as its an excellent game worthy of being included on the site

edit - eidos are members of the esa :(

LOL :bleh: :bye:

edit. Before questions arise. It is not abandoned and it it by FAR too large for the site.

Of course it's not abandoned. Far too new for that...

A few weeks ago, I bought Deus Ex in stores for Euro 4,99! (GOTY edition)

So it's not abandoned, but it's cheap.

Please don't play games!
This game has been released in 2000 (06.26.2000 to be exact)
This is an abandonware site... as in games made between 1980-1995, with some exceptions(but still games that are abw)

One of these exceptions is Adventure (http://www.abandonia.com/game.php?ID=225&genre=text). It is the oldest game on the site :D

nearly right -

the age of a game has nothing to do with it being abandonware or not,,,

Don't be too harsh on him, hanging. He did say "with some exceptions". That means that games in that period that are still sold, and games outside that time that are abandoned - will be those exceptions. Both of you are right.

But let's not forget that you have more experience in this field. ;)

anyway, Isn't this site for Dos games, Dos game remakes, Dos game utilities and other related stuff? Deus Ex is a fully 3D windows game made within the last 4 years and is being sold...

This is site is not exclusively for DOS games or DOS related games. We have fully windows games on the site and will continue to make more windows games available as possible but the core of the site is dedicated to DOS games.

Deus Ex is fantastic, and is still in the shops - I saw it in Game and it was on sale for 2 quid, so I thought "Hey, I'll try it"... utterly brilliant.

Also, not hard to make maps for.
