Can anyone interpret this:

Is it free or not? is it free only for US area? Or is it made completelly freeware? (look at the note on site in red)

According to Wikipedia:
On September 1, 2007, Ubisoft released a single player-only version of the game as ad-supported freeware on FilePlanet, although this was removed when non-US residents downloaded the game. According to Ubisoft, the offer is no longer available. This version of the game is still available on 3rd party download sites, such as Fileshack.

I know about that. what i was wondering is if someone with account would try to download it as it seems fileplanet offers it anyway (unless download get's blocked in later stages).

All downloaded files which have not been activated are going to be made inactive through the ubi.com login. Previously, the ubi.com login would require a US country in order to install the game. Ubisoft will make the ubi.com login reject all entries into country. They hope to relaunch the program once we can add IP-blocking into our login process.

Also does the game work offline?

Otherwise i am hoping they find sponsors in EU as well, so they could offer it over here as well and not just in US.

When it was first released it seemed like it was going to be ad supported freeware, and available in North America only, so when they found out that there were other ips from other parts of the world downloading the game and faking ubisoft accounts, they shut it down.

It probably still works but again it verifys to see where you are and such, so again its still at this point North American only.
