I just got this game and it works fine in Dosbox> But how do you get the frontends to work with these cd games?

IIRC, it's possible with DBGL (since it gives you control over the config files). Not sure about the others.

Not that you _need_ frontends to begin with...

Fully seconded.
In fact you're better of with no front end at all.

You can easily edit dosbox.conf so that dosbox starts with a virual C mounted and adapted on your specific wishes.
If for some games you need CD, ISO/CUE ,floppy ..... mount lines you always can write a simple batch with the needed lines in it, store it your virtual C folder, just type the batch name @dosboxprompt and done.
Same for mem settings and whatnots, dosbox can handle everything from prompt or batch files.

And: some frontends screw up with some games ...... :tai:

Mount the .cue file in DOSBox with imgmount:
imgmount d x:\path\filename.cue -t iso

Change to D:\ in DOSBox and run install.exe

Okay, now I have a problem.... I'm at the beginning of the game and my character is just laying there on this bed thing, not moving or anything. No matter what button I press, nothing happens!

Are you sure you tried every button?

(if I remember correctly you use the keypad for movement)

Nope, tried everything. The only button that'll work is the "L" key which is the Load button... but the "S" key obviously doesn't work so it's kind of pointless...
I guess I'll just pass this one up. I'm sad about it, though, it looked fun!

P.S. I'm running a Windows 7; which might contribute to all of the issues I have

Do you get a shaking screen after a few secs? After that shaking screen effect your cyborg should stand up and you'll have to go in combat mode: hit c

I've got it set to "Sound Blaster", if that helps,and I couldn't use VDMsound because I'm using a Windows 7, with which it isn't compatible...

Hi, everybody!


I have problem with this game and I wonder if anybody can help me. Or at least I would like to know if anybody else has same problem as I.

I have installed game and I have played it to the part where I need to turn off reactor:
I pull down right lever, then I run back and turn off bridge which drops monster/alien into the deep, I turn on the bridge and return back where I pull down left lever. I enter in computer code which enables button for turning off reactor, I press button and I see animation where reactor is turned off. But after that new animation show that reactor explode! So I cannot pass this part of game (I followed walktrough from gamefaqs). Has anybody had this problem? And managed to solve it?
