View Full Version : Larax and Zaco
Hi.
I remember playing a video game years ago (when i first played Pc games) that all you did was throwing (or placing, cant remember) bombs, to destroy buildings and kill enemies (i am not sure what the objectives were and i dont remember if there were enemies at all). You could destroy stuff with those bombs. There were bombs more powerful than others and there was even a NUKE that did big amounts of damage (the PC lagged when it detonated xD).
The graphics were...poor? I dont remember well, I think they were very very basic, pixelated and 1 color textures if I remember well. Then again it could be me thinking that. I do remember that the bomb's graphics had the classic cartoon style http://www.designboom.com/portrait/kare/k_2.gif...sort of.
There was support for multiplayer, local atleast, I don't remember if there was netplay. By default, player 1 was a boy and player 2 was a girl.
If I remember anything else I'll edit this post.
So do you know anything? I'd really appreciate your help ^^
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I forgot to say that it's is a side scrolling game but it also scrolls up if you go high enough. You can move freely (no blockings like in SMB).

One of the Bomberman games, perhaps?

If not, it might be one of the clones:

The variations of Bomb Jack (http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/bomb-jack-series) come to my mind.
Dina Blaster? (Bomberman clone)
Nope, I don't think it was anything like Bomberman or BombJack (I have played these 2).

Ok, I just realized that the movement is very similar to Soldat's game.

Who is that Soldat you are talking about? This one? (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/soldat)
well...soldat graphic is similar to the first worms even if the gameplay is totally different.

Nope, I am pretty sure it wasn't Worms. Totally different ^^ the only thing you had as weapons were bombs. Many kinds of bombs. From firecrackers to nukes.
@Frodo www.soldat.pl maybe? perhaps...

liero? but man, your first post was misleading. what the heck does it have to do with bomberman
original and then remake on mobygames (http://www.mobygames.com/search/quick?q=liero&x=0&y=0)
I never mentioned bomberman in my first post...
Nope, hard to believe that is my game. I am pretty sure we didn't control worms, nor we had ninja ropes :)
So...who did you control?
Do you remember some particular?

who did you kill then? do you remember of any enviroment?
I remember devastating a set of...blocks maybe, with a nuke powered bomb. Those blocks formed buildings you could go in and...do something I don't remember. You could pick up different bombs, as I already said. I can't remember more because I was very young and couldn't understand the game very well (objectives).
What about game music & sound effects?
I found this game on my old CD with dos games, (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=26447) it's called Larax & Zaco. :OK:
