Looking For A Good Nethack

I've heard a lot about Nethack and equivalents and would like to try it. What flavor of Nethack would you suggest? I would like one that has some graphical quality. Any suggestions?

Wow, I didn't know they have 3d version. I thought they were all uncomplex (visually) 2D. Are there about a billion versions?

My god, I thought this game had dissappeared under a rug or something!

Did anyone else recompile the sources to get HP every other turn? :P
