View Full Version : Abandonia International

We've all seen this happen - Somebody who's not so good at English wanted to ask a question - but got scared off...
If Abandonia is really going to be translated - then every mod taking care of his/her own language could maybe have a link on the main site (translation) to a place in the forum - where people could ask in the language they chose.
Not to translate the whole forum, but just to have a little place where they could ask - In kaj naj naredim ko sem igro uspesno presnel na svoj racunalnik?

I believe that was a joke, on accounts of there being no such thing as a native esperanto-speaker (as far as i know of)

But seriously - it doesn't have to be the whole thing - that would be impossible, just the dicuss the game link - it should link to the discosion site in that language only! I think that would be enough!

Well I can't speak Russian, but I know most of the alphabeth (it's similar to other cyrilic alphabets) and I understand about 40% of the words - Slavic languages are quite similar.
So what's that about the quantity of the people? - Mnogo - nemnogo (didn't ket all of it...)?

Well when I opened this thread it was to suggest that we might have a section in the forums - like we have: Blah, blah,...; Art; Troubleshooting,...
A section that would be called Abandonia international and the discuss the game link from the review would take non-english users to this section, where they could ask about a game in their own language. Curently we have Hrvatski, Norge and Slovensko, but translations into other languages are on the way!
What's the point of reading a review in your own language if you can't get the game running, can't ask the question due to the fact that you don't speak english, and wouldn't understand the answer anyway?
This way non-english users would get a technical support in their own language as well. I talked to Kosta about it and he said he'd think about it. The idea obviously has negative aspects too - as well as many positive ones!
So everything that wasn't conected to sdisscusing this idea was :ot: anyway!
