I created a portable wrapper for the ScummVM emulator, for those interested here is the link: http://portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5841

Basically what this allows you to do is take ScummVM and your games, fully configured the way you like them, with you on a USB flash drive without having to reconfigure every time. It also means if you want to show your friend some old Point-and-click games, they don't have to download the games and install the emulator etc, just double-click to run.

Put games into the "Games" folder, then add them as you would normally using ScummVM. All paths are saved relatively, i.e. in relation to the PScummVM executable, so, I would strongly advise you to put games into the "Games" folder and sub-folders of this folder.

Updated version available here: http://www.emuhq.com/idx/63/4126/VisualBoy...ummVM-1601.html (http://www.emuhq.com/idx/63/4126/VisualBoyAdvance-Section/article/Portable-ScummVM-1601.html)

Went through a fair few changes between 1.50 and 1.6.0.1.

Another way of playing games at school. Thanks! Good job you did there.

Thanks for the reply.

I (almost entirely) rewrote the program. Current version is 1.7.0.1: http://www.emuhq.com/idx/63/4136/VisualBoy...ummVM-1701.html (http://www.emuhq.com/idx/63/4136/VisualBoyAdvance-Section/article/Portable-ScummVM-1701.html)

If you accidentally delete the Config.ini file, current version will rewrite a default one out for you, amongst various other changes. Take a look!

Matty: EXELENT.
We'll have a look at it, and might just add it under the ScummVM-link :)

Thanks. :)

Any updates I make I'll make sure to post back to keep you guys up to date.

Just want to say thanks for hosting games like Gobliiins and Loom, without those I wouldn't have been able to do much testing. :ok:
