I used to, but it got boring, I had built up a good pile of gold from lumberjacking and mining and smelting. It was just too repetitive and there were too many people, if you want to mine anything it's just a game of fastest finger first against the other five people who are trying to mine from the same rock.

well i became a premium member for 5$ a month the game is vastly improved and is know 3d and it is updated evry week.
it is also the least expensive mmorpg so it is definatly worth it

and the premium servers r alot bigger and less crowded

I work on all skills, right now getting fletching to 75 and woodcut to 70. All my skills are 60+ except for runecrafting which is a measly 40. Highest skill is 87 cooking. Just got the mage armor, as ugly as it is. Bought a Dragon Med about 2 days ago and a cannon with 300 ammo today. Ive done all quests - 135 QP.

I just died with all of my money on me having bought a mithril pickaxe, oh well, I've still got the pickaxe and the boby section of my armour so I should be alright (and what was I going to spend 2200 gold on anyway).

I realized that 10p a day is much cheaper than most games you have t obuy and it is quite fun.

Used to play it. Got sick and tired of the freeloaders and n00bs with rune pickaxes, calling others n00bs simply because they weren't a match at mining. I quit and gave my account to a friend of mine. Dunno what's up with it nowadays, but if you see a Kon Tiki running around... that's not me :bleh:

Hey all, I play this game, name on it is Skunk_Hoover.

I'm not that great on it, but I got 45 fletching levels on the first day I got members :D.

My fave skills are smithing and mining. I'm not really a combat person, as my mere level 42 skills may suggest. I am on the other hand on the top 500k for all of the lame skills other than fishing (which is tedious beyond belief).

F2P is OK, but p2p is very very good and extremely cheap.

oh and Punch999 have a prize, you posted on my birthday!

The censorship is irritating in Runescape (if fun to play around with). One the most irritating things is that it makes every letter in your sentence lower case lower case apart from the first, even if it's a proper noun or something, whoever thought of that needs a good slap round the head.

You can still swear in any language other than English.

Merdecakes, for example is not only a great word, but it passes the filter 100% of the time. As does Schwanzkopf, for that matter.

I started playing on runescape when the dragon's quest first came out. Ah, fun days there, people were impressed if you could beat a black knight.

Also you had the old Jagex website which had its own runescape forum back there, and you could also see if any of your friends were online without actually logging onto runescape.

Also the thing which was really cool was the stats thingamajiggy for each server which showed stuff like the oldest player(in RS not real life), player with the highest combat level etc..... on the server.

And it was fun for quite a while, everyone helping everyone out and lots of fun in the wildy. Of course this was all F2P back then.

Then RS expanded more, more servers, more people and to some extent more fun.

Then there was P2P, and all the cheap turds like me pissed off as F2P became crap and repetitive and all the fun was put into P2P.

I used to play it time to time again but everytime I stopped after a few days. It just got too boring for me.

Nowadays its all TribesII, Freelancer and abandonware for me.

the world is full of ex runescape addicts, its ok, you are not alone. the pre wildy days were pretty mad, when it was a battle just to get from town to town and archers could attack u in the cities. sometimes i miss those days though. i paid for members but got annoyed as it has not develped any charector over time and more and more kiddies join evry day.
i am looking for a new mmporg to call home.
