Not going to miss you but don't get it as a offense. :)

If you don't miss anyone here, no one will miss you too. Make the first step and become our friend so you know you'll miss us should we leave. When you do, you can be sure that we miss you too then. No offense, just a simple fact about how it always works. ;)

It's nice to see that somebody still is happy with 512Kb. Yesterday I got frustrated while downloading Windows XP with SP2; it took almost a whole hour.

Did we get spoiled with high speed?

FreeFreddy

Spoiled? Hah! Even 1024 Kb/s aren't enough yet. I want 2048...
But hey, the faster, the better. And more expensive too...

Fawfulhasfury

My comp has the fastest. LOL *gloating*

"It's dinner time and don't forget your homework. You've been at that computer all afternoon - the kids today - nothing but playing computer games."

You think we're spoiled today?
I know you still remember the good old unspoiled days Anubis!

:D

I had Turrican 2 (two floppies), started the game, play first level, liked the game and then error loading second level.

Not to forget to mention that sound that floppy make....

Amiga was bit better, but for some games all you do is change a bunch of floppies, then you play couple minutes, and change the floppies again. (BodyBlow was one of these games)

And I was so happy to have one. :D LOL

I used to have a 20MB hard disk, but at the time there was no internet, like today, so all I got was purchased or copied. Most of amiga titles where build so that they can't be installed on HD. Just nowdays they came up with WHLOader and JIT and converted games to HD by using floppy images, but you need well extended amiga to be able to run most of these games.

That might explain some of your frustrations you know... :tomato:

But seriously - my first key board operated device was a tipewriter (curently 98 years old). And my first thing to calculate with was my brain (the only computer I'll never sell for scrap)!

Rogue
23-11-2004, 06:42 PM
LOL

We had one of these old typewriters and one of the first calculating machines. No idea where did my father get that from. I used to play with that stuff.

But really, lego was kind of boring. :)

My nephews used to play with Lego... But we played rather war and climbed the roofs on Russia when I was young. Loads of fun back then... *sigh*
