I Got This Far....now What

i downloaded dosbox, i finally got the right xcom1 file to download and install, i even got the intro to xcom to play. but for the life of me, i dont know what the command is to get the game to start. i must have missed a step or im overlooking something. i got to be cause no one else seems to have this problem....hehe.
Please Help me.

the xcom ufo defence i got wants me to put in a 8 digit code. the codes are provided with the file i downloaded, however it wont accept the code after the 3rd time i put in the code...it goes back to the c: prompt

try running different excutables (exe, bat, com) sometimes there s cracked exe also uncracked exe in the package
