Hi,

i was wondering if it is possible to get the Discworld Adventures in German? Or at least the translation files.
Would be great if the German abandoinia site could offer a German translation as well for most of the games (if they are available).

I remember there was some discussion on the subject a while back. The general agreement is the the games are provided in English unless no English version exists.
Situation as to providing foreign-language translations for corresponding version of Abandonia remains a bit fuzzy to me at the moment, though.

You might try to find a German version through eMule or Torrents at the moment.

Not to mention that woudn't this kind of providing games in other languages take a lot of space in servers?

Well, for some games you dont have to put the whole game in the other language on the server. Just the language/translation files. ( if these are available..) and i dont think that these are that big. You can put a book in 1mb.. And you dont need a translation for an action game.. just for rpg and adventures..

I have 5 Language-File here:

- Spanish
- German
- Italian
- French
and last English

each File is ca. 230 KB big. For all it's 1,17 MB.

I have 2 different version. One with 4 Language and one with only one Language. For more Information see here:

Moved back to be able to write something.

I would say that language files are suitable for the Extras. Best would be to have all available language files in the game archive, of course, but that's another question. So this only is a matter of sorting: It shouln't be [REJECTED: NON-ENGLISH] since we can have other language versions without offering multiple game archives, it shouldn't be [REJECTED: NON-REQUEST] since it is a request (even though no game archive will be added). I would change the title to Discworld Language Files and approve it.

Yep, no problem :)
Maybe a link to the game on main site will be perfect.

I don't understand where and what you mean. I would add the package Paco packed ( ) to the Extras and expand the Technical Notes of the review (short notice). The question is: Did/Could Paco contact an updater?

Extras ^_^ , we were talking about the same thing.
I don't think Paco contacted an updater, btw you can ask him by PM :ok:

Edit: title changed, is now ok?
