I think this game would be a nice addition to abandonia, or if nothing else if anyone has any info as to this game I'd love to hear it. It's called Shattered Steel. It was Bioware's first game for Interplay, and it was released in 1996. Its a mech game, somewhat similar to Mechwarrior 2 but more action oriented. I checked the list, and it is listed as abandonware, and I can't find it for sale anywhere. It's a great game, it never got the attention it deserved due to Mechwarrior 2 and Earthsiege coming out at around the same time. Plus, it is by Bioware which is known for developing awsome games.

Anyone know of this game or have it available? It was Bioware's first game, so it should be a pretty big deal, but its so hard to find.

Acoording to the oldwarez list it's abandonware but ESA protected.

So probably not to be purchased anywhere. :(

Icewolf, if the game was still under ESA protection the status would be "Protected".
The ESA icon is there to indicate that the publisher is an ESA member/subsidiary, nothing more.

So, Shattered Steel may find its way to Abandonia.

Good news, I'll just hope that someone comes across a copy of this game, as I've lost mine long ago. It's a fun game, lots of action and cool environments. Plus its much easier to get into than Mechwarrior 2 or Earthsiege.

Heh, I got this as original cd. I can make an image (bin/cue) & test it & pack it & upload somewhere.
Any suggestions? Got also the manual as pdf. Scans can be arranged, too.
