using dosbox to open the game, i get an error upon starting the game.

the error reads - "Exiting: Error, unable to open crop definition file"

am i missing a file? i dont understand, please help.

it seems simliar to the problem I had with the game I had to downlaod it again to play it.

Sorry I couldn't help. I don't use dosbox so I don't know what else to suggest..

ooohh..ooh... Someone told me what that means..Iknow if you don't ask me...?

Then I can feel useful for once here on this site..

Do you have WIN98..? If yes, forget about dosbox and just setup the game with no sound...it will then work.

As for simfarm, you are getting that error because you unzipped it without attaining the directory structure. I don't know which un-archiver you used, but it was a sucky one obviously tongue.gif You should have two directories within your simfarm directory - crops and sound. If all files are in the game's root directory, you will get the error you stated here!


dont use winzip!

Thats what I use..maybe that my problem with Settlers 1.. glad you got the game to work have fun.. Watch your fences they wear down and the animals escape..LOL.

Use irrigation ditchs instead, they don't break and they do something useful.
