Has anyone seen the legendary cartoon The Thief and the Cobbler? If you haven't, it's right here. (http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Thief+and+the+Cobbler)

Anyway, there seems to have been a PC game made for this movie. It appears to have been an adventure game similar to the Monkey Island series. And judging by the film's simplistic storyline, it should be relatively easy to beat.

Unfortunately, this is the only existing screenshot of the game:

If anyone here can find this game, please upload it to Abandonia.

Thanks so muxh SpiDol for including the link to the film in your post - it's absolutely beautiful. I'm a big fan of traditional cell animation.

I'd love to see what the game was like, I love the look of the graphics from the screenshot you provided - but by the look of them they seem to be circa 1993-5 so it's probably ESA protected. If anyone knows otherwise please speak up! I'd love to get my grubby little paws on this game :D

Be aware that there were two recut versions of the film, which the game might be based on instead. They were called "The Princess and the Cobbler" and "Arabian Knight".

That screenshot was a joke. See here (http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=4256&STARTPAGE=16).

Oh dear. I was really looking forward to this game too.

Well at least I have that link to the movie so people can watch it...

Hmmm, that's a let down - But as you say SpiDol, at least I got to see a beautiful film that I didn't know existed.

Methinks I can smell a fan-game mission in the making :D

(By the way, Hooray for all the laymen out there restoring animated art be it digitally or from the actual film - keeps the medium alive for all of us to enjoy the way it was meant to be)
