Hi everyone. I've just downloaded the Kyrandia games and am looking forward to playing them again. After looking at the graphics and the ease of getting around in the game world, I realized that I would love to make my own game with similar graphics and game creation program, but I'm not sure where to begin. Does anyone know what they used to make these games and where I might find the program/graphics?

Thanks so much,
Tracy

The Kyrandia games were professionally made games, so they didn't use any programs that were not home made.
Such old games probably were made with Assembly.
The graphics were made with whatever good graphic programs were out by that time.

But if you are not into programming you can still make adventure games today with game maker tools, just google for it and you'll get some hits.
For graphics you can use Photoshop or even MS Paint.

Or with AGS. That's pretty good for making adventure games.

And what about good ol' basic? :)

I knew a lot of good games style like EOB, or DKOK - well 3D view. And they were made in basic. And they were working very good.
