You sound like you've had a few beers!!! I currently don't have a microphone, so can't upload my voice. Its kinda squeaky anyway, so probably best not too.

Ioncannon
06-11-2004, 11:21 PM
oops, wrong one here is of my normal voice:

angelfire.com/ex2/ioncannon/me.wav

here is one of me saying non-sence in my mic

you sure you were awake when you recorded that?

FreeFreddy
07-11-2004, 11:38 AM
Let's hear you instead, then we'll see how awake you are. :ok:

Iron_Scarecrow
07-11-2004, 11:43 AM
I don't have a mic. Even if I did I still wouldn't show you my voice.

FreeFreddy
07-11-2004, 11:44 AM
What, is it that bad? :eeeeeh:

Iron_Scarecrow
07-11-2004, 11:48 AM
I don't know. But I've never heard my voice recorded and I don't think I want to. I hear that when you record your voice then listen to it, it sounds different.

FreeFreddy
07-11-2004, 11:50 AM
Yep, it's little changed and sounds worse than in original. But you still can get the idea of the voice. ;)

Iron_Scarecrow
07-11-2004, 11:55 AM
Yeah though it might sound worse. So I don't ever want to hear it.

Havell
07-11-2004, 01:23 PM
Actually, when you record your voice and listen to it back you hear what you really sound like, when you talk you hear yourself differently because when the sound is coming from the inside of your head you don't hear it properly because of the vibrations going everywhere through your skull.

Eagle of Fire
07-11-2004, 04:33 PM
I could record my voice if I really wanted to... But however not being able to host it is a problem.

Stroggy
07-11-2004, 04:37 PM
God, you're all sissies!
I'm going to record my voice and post it no matter what it sounds like.

Ioncannon
07-11-2004, 04:42 PM
YAY GO STROGGY!!!! :Brain:

Stroggy
07-11-2004, 05:43 PM
Here you go
Stroggy (http://www.elacole.com/public/Strogannov/strog.zip)
I may sound like a twit for Upper Yorkshire, but atleast i'm not some scarred ninny like the rest of you.

"I don't have a mic"
"My voice sounds different when recorded"

boohoo

Ioncannon
07-11-2004, 05:50 PM
LOL they are sissys. Wow its funny how the voice of someone is way different then what you think they sound like.

Havell
07-11-2004, 05:53 PM
I've recorded myself, I sound like a ponce too but I need to upload it.

EDIT: I attached it to this post, it's not very good quality.

FreeFreddy
07-11-2004, 06:00 PM
Why are they all so quiet? There's a program available, supplied with Windows, called Audio Recorder, you know? With it you can increase the volume of the sound files. ;)

That's what I used, you should have heard how quiet it was when I first recorded it, I exited out of the program and the confirmation message's bleep blew my eardrums out.

Ioncannon
07-11-2004, 06:03 PM
stroggy's was quiet, but not R Havell's

Stroggy
07-11-2004, 06:26 PM
I used the windows recorder aswell, and used increased the volume.

hmmm
perhaps a uploaded the version where I forgot to increase the volume, sorry.

anyway, what did you think I sound like?
I can do an excellent imitation of Nixon, if thats what you want

Havell

I think you hit the nail on the head with "a twit from upper Yorkshire".

TheVoid

This is an interesting thread. I think I'l record something as soon as I have time to do it.

auhsor
07-11-2004, 08:32 PM
Hmm, I guess I might record something... I have more of an aussie voice, but not heaps you know g'day mate sorta stuff. I also don't pronounce my words good enough all the time, so I always have to repeat myself. I tend to mumble.

Iron_Scarecrow
08-11-2004, 03:40 AM
Sounds a bit like me.

So Stroggy were you doing an impersination or not. Cause it was hilarious.

Stroggy
08-11-2004, 03:05 PM
Since my native language isn't english, every time I speak in english it is an impersonation.

To hear my real voice I'd have to record something in dutch

here is a file of me with a different accent: click me, you hippy (http://www.elacole.com/public/Strogannov/strog2.zip)

Havell
08-11-2004, 03:21 PM
You know Stroggy, you don't have to compress them, I have to download all of your voice clips before I listen to them. Plus that last voice sounded the same as your first voice.

Stroggy
08-11-2004, 04:14 PM
No it doesn't, in the first one I have a deliberate british accent.

While in the second one there is a hint of french in it... have no idea where that came from since I rarely speak french

Puffin
09-11-2004, 06:37 PM
Now... well... hehemmm......

Puffin's speaking so fast I can't hear more then ..."Freja"... or sumting...

And Freddy sounds like Arnold on a Scooter-festival... :D

Not that I'd sound better though, think I have a mic somewhere....

*goes mic-hunting*

Red Diablo
09-11-2004, 08:16 PM
Well it was pretty close...

Couldn't you post what you actually said, or record something new ?
Like... oh, I don't know... perhaps...

"Red Diablo rocks and Manchester United rules !?!"

:D :ok:

Puffin
09-11-2004, 08:23 PM
Uh.... right.... well... No.

Stroggy

It sucks because I can usually stand the cold.
Its just that in the debate I had today I think half the room was constantly caughing and sneezing.

Really distracted me.

Do I have to make a link to my PC or what?

Havell

If it's under 200kb (as mine was) you can attach it to your post, if not, you can upload it to another site (or Abandonia, if you have an FTP) and link to it.

Oh, don't you know I was a guest pilot/historian. That's a new airline feature they were trying out, hiring people like me, to make people like... (well not like you actually, because you probably knew all that stuff anyway) ... them, lear while enjoying a safe flight!
