This game is rather hard! How are you supposed to shoot all the enemy before they shoot you?

1: You never have sufficient grenades for the boats/helicopters and armoured cars. So, you have to shoot them. Trouble is, I can't shoot them AND all the troops which are on screen at the same time! I end up either being shot by the car when I shoot the troops, or shot by the troops while I shoot the car!

2: On the jungle (second) mission, there isn't enough time to shoot the paratroopers before they shoot you (since the trees mean that they appear too late for you to engage them).

You have sustained a lethal injury. You are not much good here.

Or however it went. That was the most anoying part at the arcade (when i was a wee lad), not that i could actually shoot the target, i used to miss by miles.

If you can play the Amiga versiont or use WinUAE, its an easy game to play and win.

Reason= you can pause the game anytime and still be able to move your mouse. So you can get through really hard sections jsut by "Pausing", "move mouse over target", "unpause". "Shoot", "pause, "move mouse", "unpause" "shoot". repeat...

hahaha that's true.... but ... the games loses it's sense.... cheating on a game its funny just in a little time... then it gets bored...... when you complete a game without cheats or walktroughs, you feel great... but when you cheat, you don't feel that good when you complete a game....

just my point of view

Hi everyone,

I know that the game loses fun when you cheat, but this game seems to be so impossibly difficult. I have read that pressing F10 on the high scores screen enables a cheat mode, but it seems to have the effect of exiting from the game altogether for me. I have also read about how to cheat using WinUAE, but how do I accomplish this?

There used to be a trainer for this game. I don't remember what it did exactly, but it allowed us to reach the -imo disappointing- end. Never got any further than the 3rd or 4th level without the trainer

Couldn't find it through google. Next week I'll see if I still have it somewhere at home, I'll let you know if I found it.

I still had a copy of it lying around, so I could e-mail it to you. Hope it doesn't take all the fun out of the game though, as that happens quite often with this type of trainers.

The link on the first post is pointing at http://www.abandonia.com/game.php?ID=94 ... One Must Fall instead of Operation Wolf (ID=81 instead of 94).

Operation Wolf has great graphics for its time but unfortunately only PC-speaker sound.

Cheats:

In highscore-table press the following keys:

[F10] Cheat-mode [F8] next level
[F7] more weapons [F9] unlimited energy

great game, used to play it a lot when I was young, never got past level 2 two. extremely tough game...

btw Kosta I edited your link to actually go to Operation Wolf. One Must Fall just didn't seem right. :P

I can't start the game. They said "type wolf", but it doesn't work.

Hi guys!

It seems that i'm having some problems with my "Operation Wolf".
I not able to put my mouse working, making it very hard to play with my keyboard.
Any solution for this.
My OS is WinXP

Thanks

The PC port is quite crappy with its ~ 5 fps and without the digitized sound.
Not half as cool as the Amiga port (not to mention the original Arcade version). ;)

It behaves with Operation Wolf like with nearly all other arcade ports to the PC: it won't work. I knew this game on the c64 and this was even better than this pc-port.

But to be honest: this game isn't fun at all if haven't got the MPs in your hands that came with the arcade version.

Today, there doesn't exist no system at all that allows to get this special arcade feel into your living room. The last system was sega's Dreamcast with its special items.

To get back to the point: I don't believe that there will ever be a cool arcade port to the PC.

Und: willkomen an Bord kanalradde

Pressing f10 just exits the game.Is there another cheat or trainer?

There was actually a lightgun made for the PC way back in the mid-90s; I seem to recall it being bundled with the PC port of Virtua Cop. Never really caught on, unfortunately; it cost about £70, and these were the days when a 16-inch monitor was high-end.
