Woo, this looks amazing... but referering to the quality of the graphics I fear that I won´t be able to play this pearl. Maybe this one will be released for one of the new high-end consoles...!?

We discussed that over at PA for like, 4 pages. Here's the difference: Prey used them in a "We have portals" sense, but these are dynamic, and go for a "Look what we can do with portals" attitude.
Also, as my computer will also never, ever be able to handle this (it can't even run things like Armadillo Run), this is also coming for 360 and PS3 (yea, that 599 US dollars PS3).

Aye, it's not just cause there are awesome like in Prey, they seem to be used solely for complicated puzzle purposes while also being awesome. Such as the part where the stairs are retracting down beneath him and he jumps off, and goes I don't know where... awesome.

You know, GM, I always thought, what with you being the PA guru around here, that you were some sort of hardcorre gamer with a kick a** system, mini-god as it were. That you have a system that is a step before optimal make me feel good about my step below optimal system too.
My computer will run DOOM3, at 640x480 and about 15FPS, before the monsters start showing up. It's a step up from slide-show-of-death, but not much.

I don't have the dough for a kickass system. Most of my money goes to insurance and food. My buddy has an insane compy though, like, 7k built from scratch, so we go over there to try out our new software.
....'sides, I'm a console gamer at heart. Get the Intellivision out and I'm happy.

My comp was the biggest "kicka55" in shops and then I tried Doom3. Those jerks said that it would work great, instead - it works much like it does for you.
Next summer I'm not gonna spare expense - 90% of the dough for the PC. Maybe 2000 euros or more.
P.S. Anyone know if Finland has good parts in their shops?
