No option to save games. Just use your skill and you don't need it. :P ;)

I WILL SEE YOU WHEN YOU GET TO DIFFICULT LEVELS!!!!

Well, I was able to play it through at easy difficulty. That was enough for me to have the fun, so I didn't try it out at the higher ones. ;)

Although second and third is better, one is also a cool game. Especially when you play with friend(s).

Sorry I can't reply in Polish, but from what I understan you have the problem with the chart at the begining of the game and can't start it.
The game isn't copyprotected (it's cracked) - you don't need to worry about the chart!

Just press ENTER and the game will run normaly!

I've been trying to play this game on Windows XP, but it runs too slow.
I've even tried with a VDMS shortcut, but it still ran with a huge slow-down.

Has anyone else had any problems with this?

What's the speed/ram of your machine? Dosbox eats a lot of resources.

Guest
08-08-2006, 07:02 PM
it's a pentium 4, 3.2ghz with 256mb ram
But I'm not using DOSbox, I guess that's the problem huh :(

I don't like DOSbox because some DOS games do not run in it (for ex. Abuse, Blood)
And so far I've managed to get every game running properly with VDMS...

I'll post the VDMS shortcut here if I can get this thing playing.

Almost every game will run allright in DosBox with a little tweaking here and there. The ones that have problems are those with high base requirements.

Micro Machines should run like a charm in DosBox, though.

Start by having a look at the official FAQ (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php) on the DosBox site.
Basic Setup and Installation (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=Basic+Setup+and+Installation+of+Dos Box)
Command Line (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=CommandLine)
Z instead of C at the command prompt (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=FAQ%2FI+have+got+a+Z)
Internal Programs (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=Internal+Programs) (important, especially MOUNT)
Most of the stuff in there is not really needed, but you would do best to familiarize yourself with the specific topics I linked to.
The mounting of your DosBox games directory, switching the promt to the emulated C: drive and clearing the screen from previous commands can all be executed from the [autoexec] section of dosbox.conf (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=dosbox.conf), so you won't have to re-type them every time round.
Frontend programs (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=DOSBoxFrontends) can help running DosBox with varying configurations for different games.
For both a more accessible user interface and oldschool feel, you can use Norton Commander (get it from our programs and utilities page (http://www.abandonia.com/main.php?nav=programs) - scroll down to the bottom to find it). NC might seem awkward at first, but in fact it is a very functional genuine DOS era file manager frontend. It has a plethora of functions that will help you in navigating around the directories, while still retaining the command prompt.

everything's alright but there's one thing that makes me a little bit angry...the game is working very slow and it is almost impossible to play it. How to make it faster?

The Fifth Horseman

Are you running it in DosBox? Then just crank up the cycles.

Hi,

When I have installed the program and opens it the start page appears, as I remember from the Amiga - but when I push ENTER nothing happens?

Why is that?

I don't use DOSbox when I run the program, is that necesarry? I run it in XP.

The reason why I haven't tried with DOSbox is that I have hard time using, I simply can't press ":" because I'm using a danish keyboard and I can't figure out which button(s) to press to make the ":"

Will anybody help me?

Thanx

Not "neccessary" per se, but by doing that you'll save yourself a lot of headaches.

You can open DosBox.conf and change the line responsible for keyobard layout to help you with that.

You can configure drive mounting (and changing between mounted drives) to be executed automatically. In DosBox.conf, add any commands you want to be automated at the end of file after [autoexec].

Hi everybody!
I can't seem to find the right keys to play this game. :sos: Can someone refresh my memory? :ok:

Thanks!

*EDIT*: ok, this was a stupid question, since keys are editable. :brain:

First of all, read the Beginner's Guide (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=14913).

Second, please describe the procedure you used - as precisely as possible.

I have win XP, for this reason I downloaded DOSBox and I set up it rightly, reading tutorial, because other games work perfectly.
In this case I don't succeeded :(

Did you try to run the game _without_ installing it?
Did you try redownloading? Perhaps you just have a corrupted copy.

Excuse me, I said:
then I expanded the files with Winrar and put them in a folder named Microm.
I opened DOSbox, entered in the directory of the game, named Microm, and typed: install
at this point I read this: if you want to install the windows version then please do the following: press N to the following prompt, Run windows as normal, choose "run" from the "file" menu of program manager, type "A:\setup.exe"
(I did'nt do this, I've not the floppy of the game and A is usually the name of floppy drive)
so I type Y to continue to install in DOS but An Error occurred...etc etc
-_-
Can you tell me where do I mistake?

Luchsen
25-08-2007, 12:46 AM
Simply type micro instead of install. But you aroused my curiosity: Which path did you enter after typing Y?

Essential21
25-08-2007, 11:36 AM
Hi
I've typed Micro instead of Install, no result, I read
C:\MicroM

When I open DOSBox, the path is this:
C:\
I type DIR

Directory of C:\
. DIR 24-08-2007 13:00
.. DIR 21-08-2007 00:47
GODS DIR 22-08-2007 13:00
MICROM DIR 24-08-2007 22:37
ULTIMA DIR 22-08-2007 22:17
0 File(s) 0 bytes
5 dir(s) 110,540,800 bytes free
C:\

and here, I type cd Microm, appear this

C:\MICROM

and here I type Install with the risult you know, or Micro as you suggested, but without risult -_-

Essential21
25-08-2007, 12:11 PM
I succeed!!!
I deleted all files and expanded again the folder micro machines.zip
I saw a folder not expanded name: GAME1, so I expanded this folder too, then opened DOSBox, type cd Microm then type install and...
now I'm playing perfectly!
Thanks all you :D
Excuse for disturb!
Many kisses!

Dany

Interesting game concept, racing games that include small cars are always so much fun, I don't know why, they just are. :)
