Fidel Castro, from Cuba.

Anyways, if your toes're that swollen, you ought to see a doctor :tomato:

Maikel

He's the dictator from Cuba. A couple of days ago he fell after a speech and broke his knee and his right arm or so.

Stroggy

Yeah, thats the guy.
For a commie, I quite like thye old bastard... except when he's executing people.

You know I'm always surprised when somebody asks me who Fidel is, or who Lenin is.
Or Stalin and Hitler for that matter.
I once had an entire conversation with somebody about the second world war when they suddenly asked me who Hitler was.

Did you know that in a survey of Americans which asked people who America's allies were in World War II more than 50% said Germany, Italy or Japan.

Stroggy
27-10-2004, 07:50 PM
and according to a survey 70% of the schoolchildren in the UK and France don't know who Hitler was

I wonder how old those children were.

Stroggy
27-10-2004, 07:55 PM
between 15 and 18 was the targetgroup.
So, according to the learning programe of the countries tested, they should have learned about the second world war at the time of the survey.

And children and even adult people are easy to manipulate. After all, a human is a social creature so if all others are into one thing, the others that aren's will join in too. It's that easy.

HWTA? HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT KNOW WHO HITLER WAS?

Lenin... isn't he that Russian guy with the goatee... didn't he live in Belgium for some time?

TheVoid

I can't really laugh at the last one. (Danny's)

I think that a trip to Mauthausen and Auschwitz would be a good thing for you, to learn a couple of things.

And if you want to know who Lenin is, well do a google search and you'll find out. It's the guy with the red beard and those socialist ideas.

LOL I said the very same thing as Stroggy at the same time. I don't know if I have to worry about it.

Ohh. POORE YOU. We all feel SOOO sorry for you, should I get you a cup of juice, maybe that would help? Or do you need someone to blow on your little toe?

:ot: Speaking of the Russians, I read an article about Stalin and his mates in the russian secret police. It was pretty disturbing cause the article said that all the leaders in the secret police were rapists, sadists and somehow mentally ill. :ot:

I think "Ouch, I hurt my little toe" is a very thin subject for a thread. I think magic should take a look at the thread called Rules for posting (http://www.abandonia.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=803), maybe he could learn something.
