01-05-2006 Time for some abandonware related news! Exiled Gamers have started an abandonware campaign in an attempt to provoke a response from game publishers. The ideas aren't revolutionary - re-release of titles at budget prices in a downloadable form (no instructions, box or technical support) or perhaps as 'freeware' and let the gamers find a copies through community sites. You can see the list of suggested games here. However, this time there is a petition included, and it has gotten quite a publicity through the likes of Slashdot, MobyGames, Gamers Hell etc. That is why we have decided to join the club and help spread the word. As a conclusion, let me quote grades from Da Fast Lane: "Chances of convincing even a small number of game companies are probably small, but trying won't hurt. Highway Hunter As far as side-scrolling action shooters go, Highway Hunter looks pretty cool.
I haven't played it yet, but Tom Henrik certainly did, and described the experience in the review you can get to by simply clicking on this sweet looking airplane. Baal Man today was a tough day. I think I'm gonna take a nap in a while. While I'm resting, you could as well check out Baal, an action shooter where you, the hero of the day, have to stop a wicked fiend who stole a powerful war machine.
