Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Background

Starting early in 1992, age 4, I would play MS-DOS games on our family 386 PC, or watch my older brothers boot up Wolfenstein 3-D and Blake Stone. Seeing my mom play Commander Keen 4 was a core memory that led me to play through it and later games, and many, many DOS platformers. Jill of the Jungle, the three-game series, was a fav, as well as the first Duke Nukem ("NUKUM") platformer that I would play through often. Soon we had a sparkly new 486dx50 that I would play Ultima Underworld, Mystic Caves and various others we bought at Radio Shack and a small local store called Compucentre, playing while my brother would watch and marvel... and then the pinnacle moment beyond playing with Windows 3.11 was getting Windows *95* and 98! Some of the best times were in trying out the games found in clearance bins and finding some real gems, AND duds, AND ultra rarities. Castle of the Winds was one of our faves. From there I stuck with PC gaming, and I'll always love those times.
